May Calendar

May is always busy here at the Bremen Library as it is the month of one of our biggest fund raisers. Mark Saturday February 17 on your calendar if you are a gardener, book lover, or savor delicious homemade baked goods, for that is the day of the Bremen Library Plant Sale. For the past 2 weeks local gardeners have been battling rain and black flies as they dig plants or join the potting work shops to prepare plants for the sale. Donations are still coming in and the work will continue until the day before the sale.
Book donations are being accepted, and as they arrive at the library are sorted by category and priced to sell. With summer coming Mainers expect a deluge of guests to entertain. Placing a stack of paperbacks on the bedside table is one way to keep company occupied. There is a good assortment of paperbacks and recent hardcovers to choose from. And they are all priced to move.
Also available on the day of the sale will be fresh baked breads, cookies and cakes, as well as coffee and treats to eat at the sale.
