Happy New Year

Now that the holidays are behind us and Christmas decorations are put away, it's time to relax a little. When the temperatures drop and the roads are icy it's difficult to get out and do anything. A cup of tea, a warm fire, and a good book are the perfect anecdote for cabin fever. The Bremen Library has many of the books that are being talked about. New novels by best selling authors Sue Grafton,Douglas Preston, James Patterson, Sarah Graves, Ann Patchett, and Sue Miller are all available along with an assortment of other new books both fiction and non fiction.
Winter is the time for comfort foods- warm soups and chowders with home made bread. The library has the cook book 50 Chowders by well known Boston chef Jasper White with recipes for different soups to try. Other cookbooks by Rachel Ray and Paula Dean also showcase famous cooks.
So get the soup pot simmering and enjoy an arm chair escape with your favorite author as the snow falls outside.
