Used Books Sale

On Saturday May 19 the Bremen Library is holding 3 important fundraising events at one time. Inside the library we will be holding a sale of used books, as well as selling baked goods, coffee and donuts. Outside the parking lot will be filled with plants for sale as well as birdhouses and garden tools. Volunteers have been busy in gardens digging perennials and potting them for the sale. On the day of the sale experts will be on hand to answer your garden questions.
At the Library volunteers have been hard at work pricing books to sell. Most of these books have been donated so the selection varies every year. They cover a variety of subjects from fiction, cook books, history, children's book, and lots of other genres. We also have some videos, music CDs and Audiobooks for sale. We hope you will come see what we have to offer. The sale starts at 9:00 but buyers get here early and line up for the start.

Plant Sale dates to remember

It's hard to believe that the annual plant sale is only two weeks away- on Saturday May 19th. The late snow and cool temperatures have slowed gardens a bit, but things are finally starting to emerge from the winter hibernation. Library volunteers have started the hard work of digging and potting plants for this year's sale. Potting workshops will be held at Linda Nevins' home -
169 Waldoboro Rd. on the following days : Friday May 4 at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday May 6 at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday May 8 at 1:00 p.m.
Friday May 11 at 1:00 p.m.
Tuesday May 15 at 1:00 p.m.
Help is always needed. Please bring a trowel, gloves etc. to pot with. We usually have 1,000 plants for sale- that's a lot of plants to pot up. Hope to see you there.
