Star Gazing Party

The summer skies have fascinated mankind for thousands of years. Most people can identify the Big Dipper and possibly a few other constellations or planets. If you are curious about how to find famous formations but haven't a clue where to look, come to the Bremen Library on Friday August 22 for a Star Gazing Party. The fun begins at 8:00pm with refreshments. At 8:30 if the skies are clear Wayne Barber will lead the group to the field below the library where there is a wide view of the heavens above. He will point out the constellations and planets that are visible. For your comfort we suggest you bring a blanket, chair, binoculars or telescope, a flashlight and bug repellent. In case of rain Wayne will present an indoor program at 8:30. This event was originally planned for July and was rescheduled due to rain. This time we hope the skies will be clear.
For information call the Bremen Library at 529-5572.
