Christmas is coming!

The annual wreath sale was a great success again this year.Over 400 wreaths were sold, a majority of them decorated. The Library thanks all the volunteers who helped with the wreath decorating, sales or brought lunch for the workers during the two weeks of wreath workshops. We also want to give thanks to everyone who purchased wreaths from us. We appreciate the support.
The lobster adornment sold by the library was a popular gift last year. There are still lobsters available for sale at the Library. The adornments were designed by a Bremen artist, and are gold plated so will not tarnish. These ornaments look beautiful on a tree, but could also be worn as jewelry, or placed on a ribbon for a bookmark., or tied onto a jar of homemade jam. They are priced at $10.00.
Now that the sale is behind us it is time to look ahead to Christmas. The library has a number of gently read hardcover books for sale that might be the perfect gift for the reader on your Christmas list. We also have a large number of paperbacks at very affordable prices. With winter finally here, it might be wise to stock up on reading materials in case a snow storm traps you at home for several days.
