December News

December is always a busy month as people prepare for the festivities of Christmas. This year the weather is cooperating to make Maine look like a Currier & Ives Christmas print. Frequent snow storms have made driving hazardous on some days. The policy at the Bremen library is to be closed on those days that local schools are closed due to weather. If this happens a message will be recorded on the answering machine with this information, so it's always wise to call ahead before you venture out on dangerous roads. The Library phone number is 529-5572. And if you need a book renewed you can leave a message and it will be renewed when the library reopens.
For dedicated readers preparing for predicted bad weather involves more than stocking up with milk and bread. It also means stopping at the library and checking out enough books and movies to last until the roads are safe to drive.

December Holiday Schedule
The library will be closing early on Monday December 14th and December 31st. On those days the library will be open from 10:00-12:00. We will be open as ususal on Wednesday December 26. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
