The sale will run from 9:00 -12:00 on both days. Come early for the best selection.

Get ready for the Holidays

The Bremen Library is still creating wreaths for the wreath sale this Saturday Nov. 25 at the Bremen Town House. They have a large selection available to choose from. Whether you like a traditional wreath trimmed with pinecones, rose hips and a red bow, or prefer something fancier with a plaid or print bow and decorated with natural materials such as seashells, moss, lichens, holly, dried flower pods, there are many wreaths to choose from. The volunteers who decorate the wreaths approach the task as a creative challenge to use simple materials in imaginative ways. The extra care and thought put into each wreath is apparent in the results. The sale starts at 9 a.m. and we recommend you arrive early for the best selection. If you like to design your own wreath there will undecorated wreaths available as well.

The Library will be open regular scheduled hours on Friday Nov. 24 and Saturday Nov. 25 .

Bremen Christmas wreaths & lobster adornments

It's not too late to place an order for a Christmas wreath. The decorating workshops began today and will continue everyday this week except for Thursday. You can stop by the library to place an order, or do it by phone. If you want the Library to do the shipping for you, the deadline is November 22 to place an order. Wreaths are available plain, with just a velvet bow, or fully decorated. Call the Library for information about prices and choice of bow colors. Or come to the Bremen Town House on Sat. Nov. 18 & 25 and select a wreath with with a bow made from fancier ribbons in prints and plaids.
The library also has gold plated lobster adornments for sale. These make wonderful gifts, so if there is anyone on your list you need to buy a present for consider a Bremen lobster. They are available at the Library.
The money raised by these sales supports the services and materials that the Library provides.

The Bremen Library has a busy schedule in November with the major wreath sale fundraiser this month. Here is a calendar of events at the Library this month.

Saturday Nov. 11: Veteran's Day - the Library will be closed

Wreath Sale Schedule
Monday Nov. 13: Wreath workshop at the Bremen Firehouse. Starts at 9 a.m. till lunch.
Tuesday Nov. 14: Wreath workshop
Wednesday Nov. 15: Wreath workshop
Friday Nov. 17: Wreath workshop
Saturday Nov. 18: Wreath sale at the Bremen Town House 9 a.m.-12 (Volunteers may come and decorate)
Monday Nov. 20: Wreath workshop
Friday Nov. 24: Wreath workshop
Saturday Nov. 25: Wreath sale 9a.m.-12 (May have wreaths to decorate )
Volunteers are welcome to come help on any of these days. Bring a glue gun and extension cord.
Lunch will be served to the volunteers. Also needed are natural materials for decorating the wreaths. The Library uses pinecones, sea shells, fern pods, milk weed pods, lichens and other materials to decorate the wreaths.

Wednesday November 29 Book Discussion Group
The group will meet at 3:00 p.m. to discuss The Lobster Coast by Colin Woodard.

With winter fast approaching any event may be rescheduled due to bad weather. Call the Library at 529-5572 for information.
